South Africa

This is one country that can trace its wine history back to the day the first vines were produced wine by Dutch Colonial Administrator, Jan van Riebeeck in 1659. What has followed since is the development of wines as interesting and beautiful as the landscapes from which they hail. The majority of South African wines are consumed in the home market but thankfully we can enjoy a flavour of what is on offer from their ever growing export trade.
