Like many "New World"countries, the U.S.A. has a surprisingly long history in the wine trade. European settlers arriving from the early 1800's onwards, found the perfect conditions and climates to cultivate the vines they brought with them from their native lands. Over the centuries the wine industry has grown and developed greatly, creating their own enticing style and mark on familiar grape varieties.
